(Rock Hill, S.C.) — Food Truck Friday will end its 2022 season “by the lake” this Friday at Rock Hill’s Ebenezer Park.
The park, located at 4490 Boatshore Rd. on the shores of Lake Wylie, opened its gates for food-loving vendors and visitors this year beginning at the end of July.
Park superintendent Pat Morrison said his team partnered with city officials to change the zoning of the lakeside park to include the possibility of hosting food trucks.
He said he couldn’t be happier about the results.
“We started our food trucks by the lake here a few months ago and it’s a really neat event for people to come out from the community,” Morrison said.
A number of food truck owners said they were excited to bring their products to a new location.
“We’re here to help support everybody here at the lake…and to have people in the community enjoy our food,” said Deanna Brewer, who works for Roman’s All-Star Café.
Brewer said it was nice to serve a new set of costumers.
“The nice people at Ebenezer Park granted us with the opportunity to come down here and share some fruity, frozen fun with the world,” said Nate Johnson, owner of Mr. Smiley’s Italian Ice.
More food trucks will be present at the park this Friday, Oct. 14 from 4-8 p.m., for the final day of the event for the year.
Guests who attend Food Truck Friday will not be charged the standard park admission fee, which is normally $3.
