The Palmetto Report is a multimedia news and public affairs platform that features content produced by students in the Department of Mass Communication at Winthrop University.
Our reporting includes photography, audio reports, podcasts and video stories, which can be found on our YouTube channel and a number of podcast platforms, including Spotify, Anchor and Apple podcasts.
Palmetto Report content is also available on the NewsBreak app, as we have joined its partner publisher program, which should extend the reach of our student produced stories.
Our site and stories have received a number of regional and national awards, including recognition in 2020 and 2021 as one the best digital sites by the Visual Communication and Communication Technology divisions of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
